In addition to joining Tumblr I decided to open a foursquare account for my food blog. I had one about six months but I deleted my account because or privacy concerns. I was worried that my check-ins could give people too much information on my daily whereabouts. Plus, did anyone really care if I was the Mayor of Winn Dixie or went to pick up dry cleaning on my lunch break? Probably not.
The new foursquare account will be focused on food and all things related to it. I plan to check into restaurants, farmers markets and anything related to food. I think by limiting the scope of the check-ins I can limit any privacy concerns I had with the general account. I also hope that by tying the foursquare account in with the my blog I can connect with other Tallahassee foodies to share tips and take advantage of various offers at the restaurants I visit.
