Groceries and a Turkey Call

Once Mason was in bed and Becks was settled in on the couch to relax I made a pot of coffee and headed up to Thomasville, Georgia to Wal-Mart to go grocery shopping. I did not have a chance to go this week and we needed a lot of things to make breakfast for everyone on Sunday in addition to meals throughout the week.
I headed out a little before 9:00 p.m. and after stopping by Steve and Charlotte’s to say hello to Peyton I hit the road. The parking lot was packed when I got there and apparently Wal-Mart is one of the places to go on a Friday night. People were strolling around, chatting with their friends and aimlessly pushing buggies to no place in particular.
While they meandered I was on a mission and was able to get most of the things on my list in a little over an hour and a half. Once I had all the food items I went to check out their hunting gear to see if they had any turkey calls in stock. To my surprise they had a few left and after checking them out decided to buy the Primos Power Crystal. It had gotten good reviews on Cabela’s and getting it here saved me a trip to Stafford’s in the morning. I am looking forward to sanding it down and trying it our tomorrow morning.
Before heading home I stopped by the minute market and bought a Red Bull. It was 10:30 p.m. and I needed some caffeine to keep me awake and look out for deer on the ride home. Thankfully it was a deer-free ride back to Monticello, and by the time I got home and put the groceries up it was almost midnight. I was tired, but happy I would not have to take Mason grocery shopping in the morning, and instead could hang around the house to take care of some other projects.
